TLARGI offers a limited number of Undergraduate Scholarships to qualified applicants. The scholarships are offered in two categories. The “Friends and Family Scholarship” and the “Rubber Industry Fields of Interest Scholarship.”
A candidate for a TLARGI undergraduate “Family & Friends” scholarship must:

Be nominated by a TLARGI member in good standing.

Be related to an employee in the rubber industry. First preference will be given to TLARGI members, their children, and family members. Second preference will be given to non-member employees in the Southern California rubber industry and their children.

Be accepted at an accredited four-year college or university of his/her choice as an undergraduate full-time candidate for a degree.

Have a high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher or a college/university grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Provide three letters of recommendation which testify as to the candidate’s potential and desire to succeed in an institution of higher education.
A candidate for a TLARGI undergraduate “Rubber Industry Fields of Interest” scholarship must:
- Be nominated by a TLARGI member in good standing.

Be accepted into a major program that meets the needs of the local rubber industry as determined by the Scholarship Committee, with emphasis being given to Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical disciplines.

Be accepted at an accredited four-year college or university of his/her choice as an undergraduate full-time candidate for a degree.

Have a high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher or a college/university grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Demonstrate an interest in a career in the rubber or a related industry.

Provide three letters of recommendation which testify as to the candidate’s potential and desire to succeed in an institution of higher education.
To be considered for a scholarship, eligible candidates must complete the TLARGI Undergraduate Scholarship Application and mail it to the TLARGI Scholarship Committee Chairman. (See contact information below.)
If you’re interested in making a contribution to the TLARGI Undergraduate Scholarship fund, please issue a check made payable to TLARGI, along with the name and address of donor and be sure to specify allocating your donation to the “Friends and Family” fund or “Rubber Industry Fields of Interest” fund or both, and mail to: TLARGI Scholarship Committee Chairman.
